Quote: Ray Nagin -
Now get off your asses and let's do something, and let's fix the biggest goddamn crisis in the history of this country. (Katrina aftermath)

Ray Nagin made a big name for himself by
A.) Failing to evacuate NOLA before Hurricane Katrina hit land until it was too late
B.) Blaming it on President Bush
NOLA, like Atlanta, has a long, rich history in political corruption, underhanded dealings, and treating local government offices as a jobs program for political friends.
Nagin replaced the previous mayor of NOLA who was also charged with corruption and taking bribes for city contracts.
I think the last 4 out of 5 mayors of Atlanta have been charged with the same.
It's pathetic.
The charges against Nagin included one overarching conspiracy count along with six counts of bribery, nine counts of wire fraud, one count of money laundering conspiracy and four counts of filing false tax returns. He was acquitted of one of the bribery counts.

I'm just wondering how former president George Bush orchestrated Nagin's conviction from his ranch in Crawford, TX.
I'll bet he had help from his old pals in the Skull and Bones Society.
And Cheney. Don't forget how evil that guy is.
