In response to the story that the Mayor of NYC, Bill de Blasio, is married to a former lesbian, firsttoknow.com put up this hard hitting investigative piece today -
How to Know if You're Dating a Former Lesbian
Having dated a lesbian, I can tell you the easiest way to tell if you're dating a former and/or current lesbian is
"the scissor".
If you don't know, look it up.
Preferably via South Park.
(Here: I did the heavy lifting for you.)
Another way to tell if you're dating a former or current lesbian is that she wrote a piece for Essence Magazine entitled, "I am a Lesbian".
(Really that one was a no-brainer people.)
McCray enrolled at Wellesley College in 1972. While studying at Wellesley, McCray became a member of the Combahee River Collective,[8] a black feminist lesbian organization, which inspired her to write prose and poetry.[9]
After graduation, she moved to New York City to work for Redbook. She published an essay in Essence Magazine in 1979, entitled "I Am a Lesbian",[1][5] an essay described as "groundbreaking" for how a black woman discussed her sexuality in a black magazine.[6] The purpose of the essay was to "dispel the myth that there are no gay black people".[10] Some of her poetry is included in Home Girls: A Black Feminist Anthology.[11]
