Blech.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Apparently it’s not just Common Core for kids. Kids are also common property.
In addressing criticism of the Common Core national education standards, a panelist at the Center for American Progress (CAP), a liberal think tank, said critics were a “tiny minority” who opposed standards altogether, which was unfair because “the children belong to all of us.”
Paul Reville, the former secretary of education for Massachusetts and a Common Core supporter, said, “Again, the argument about where it came from I think privileges certain sort of fringe voices about federalism and states’ rights, and things of that nature, when really what we’re doing at the national level here now, state by state, is what a lot of our states thought made sense individually.”
“Why should some towns and cities and states have no standards or low standards and others have extremely high standards when the children belong to all of us.”
9 out of 10 times, when someone uses privilege as a verb they’re a Marxist bot who thinks that the only things wrong with the USSR was a lack of respect for the environment and gay marriage.
When someone uses privilege as a verb, it’s time to stop taking him seriously in the same way as if he began yelling racial slurs.
But back to the question of common ownership of our children. To use Reville’s language, Paul Reville privileges the collective understanding of the community over that of the family. Paul believes that all your children belong to him because he is one of a gang of smug petty tyrants and his worldview privileges the collectivist ideas that allow him to remain in power.

I strongly dislike this collectivist garbage.
Hillary Rodham Clinton helped get this load moving with her, It Takes a Village nonsense.
Of course, her village is staffed with government employees that you and I pay for and cannot get into but that's a discussion for another day.
Very simple point here folks:
Government schools have been putting out dumber and dumber students for a long time.
Democrats have controlled government schools for that same long, dumb time.
It's not an accident that these 2 things have happened simultaneously.
Look at any big city in America.
Almost all of them will have schools that you would like to avoid putting your children through.
It's a big reason that people move to the burbs - better schools.
All of these big city schools have been run like Democratic Jobs/Gift programs for years.
Every so often, we hear how we need to spend more money to fix this or that broken thing in, around, or about the school system.
And it never does much of anything except cost lots of money.
The students do more and more worser.
(See!?! It's even happening to me!)
Home schooling people.
Get your kids out of these government traps and help them to think and learn for themselves.
I am ever so glad that I didn't get my head filled with the nonsense they are pouring into your kids right now.
