The latest dispatch, in which The Saviors M/C take over Knoxville and zombies take over Atlanta !

On Monday afternoon, I loaded up the "land barge" and drove to Knoxville for my very first speaking role on a TV show !
I spent Tuesday and Wednesday on set and had a great time.  The cast and crew were great - easy going and friendly and the whole atmosphere was pretty laid back.
Making the days even better was the fact that my Walking Dead, Saviors motorcycle club partners - Brian Lancaster and Matt Bolick were also there.  We had fun on set - it's always better with a few friendly faces - and we got to go see a bit of Knoxville night life via Market Square downtown.
One of the crew (Marcus) recommended Preservation Pub on the square so that's where we parked ourselves for a couple rounds while we watched a great local surf rock band bang out their versions of The Rolling Stones "Paint it Black" and a medley of Michael Jackson hits like "Beat It", "Billie Jean", and "Smooth Criminal".
Epic stuff.

After a couple days on set, I left Knoxville and headed east on I 26 bound for Asheville, NC.
Got there in the early afternoon - just in time to take a long walk around the downtown area in the hottest part of the day.
Then I met up with my old high school sweet heart, Gail for dinner at my favorite restaurant, Mela Indian, for a little catching up over delicious chicken vindaloo and garlic naan.

After dinner, Gail, her BF, and I went round the way for a couple cheap beers and fun.
Great times ,))

After a bit of rest upon my return to Atlanta on Friday, I met up with another Walking Dead Saviors moto partner, Josh D'Agostino, for the 7th Annual Zombie Pub Crawl, sponsored by Diesel Filling Station bar.  Officially, Josh and I were there as judges, but unofficially we just drank free beer - thanks to bar owner Justin - and wandered around looking at the outrageous costumes and handed our opinions off to Justin for the prizes given out later. All in all, a pretty damn good gig if you can get it.
I now understand why people want to be judges at beauty pageants.  ,))
More great times !

Next week, the shenanigans continue when I meet up with Matt again - this time for the Charlotte Comicon and The Walking Dead panel with Amber Dawn Fox and Kent Wagner !
Gonna be fun !

The latest post, in which I achieve the rank of "actor" !

Well there's lots going on - finally.  It's feast or famine 'round here.

First, my official Walking Dead "saviors" pictures finally arrived.
Kinda cool to see them, live and in color.

Second, my birthday rolled past last week and I was given an extremely cool and totally custom, hand made, "El Pinche Pirata del Fuego" Zippo lighter.  One of a kind, made by Steve West at Silver Piston.  He does great work.

I should probably have a handful of these made for gifts or for sale or something.  It's gorgeous in person and I've received a ton of compliments already.  The engraved piece is an old Buffalo nickel that Steve hand carves and etches and then welds onto the lighter, which he burnished to give that aged, weathered look.

Third, Diesel Filling Station, the bar down the road from me, is a big TWD spot and the owner, Justin, asked for an official autographed picture of me to hang on their wall, alongside many other official TWD alumnus - including "the man" Norman Reedus.
It's a cool bar - kind of a weird blend of alternative/sports/dive bar.  I mean that in the nicest way possible.  Stop in for a beverage with one of my favorite neighborhood bartendresses, Liz.  She's the shit.

Fourth, on July 30th, Diesel is doing their 7th Annual Zombie Pub Crawl and Justin invited me to come hang out as an semi-official TWD rep. and as a judge for the walker costume contest !
All of the ridiculousness starts at 4 pm, Saturday the 30th.   The contest will start around 8 ish.
I'm getting paid in burgers and beer so I hope Justin has good credit with his local distributor !

Josh D'Agostino, who was also part of "The Saviors M/C" crew will be there as a judge with me and signing autographs, etc.   Josh is a great guy and has been an incredible supporter, booster-upper.  He is hard working and dedicated - and if any of us make it as actors - he will.  He just has that "do it or die tryin'" attitude.

Fifth, because of that little scene on TWD, I was invited to the Charlotte Comicon as part of a TWD panel with Amber Dawn Fox (Officer Bello), Kent Wagner (walker), and my buddy and fellow "Savior" Matt Bolick, along with several others from the show!

And I'll be doing an interview with Candace Davis from Word of the Nerd !  They do online interviews and reviews about movies, etc.  Nice lady.  Check out their Youtube channel:

And last but not least - I have finally landed an honest to God speaking part on a TV show!
I'll be reprising my previous role(s) as "biker" - this time with lines.
AND - I don't get blown up with a bazooka like before.
Just wounded in a shoot out.
But I survive.
So there's that.
And even better, my buddy Matt Bolick, will be there too - also with HIS first speaking role.
Incredible.
Although, I'm pretty sure Matt gets to be the "tougher, more biker/thuggy" character.
(I gotta get an agent.)
It was almost exactly a year ago that we filmed that scene for TWD and here we are again, on set together, doing this thing they call "Acting" or is it "ac-Ting!"
Either way, we're both really excited.
I'll post more about the show, the channel, and the times of my big, little scream debut just as soon as I'm allowed.
Right now, mum's the word.

So don't go tell all of your friends quite yet.
It's our little secret for now.

Me and Matt Bolick - Saviors M/C

Here's all of us together once again:

Josh D'Agostino, yours truly, Brian Lancaster, Matt Bolick - and that's Christopher Berry as the lead bad guy.   Check out his IMdB page - really impressive resume!
He's worked with Mathew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, Christian Bale, Jamie Foxx, and Russell Crowe to name a few.
