Instead of watching the vice presidential debate last night, Ms. X and I watched Bram Stoker's Dracula - the one with Gary Oldman as Prince Vlad.
It's the story of an ancient, undead, evil being that must constantly feed off the blood of the living in order to stay alive.
Come to think of it, same plot as American politics. Less blood but same plot.
