I think these photos show my utter confusion with the world today.

Syria:  If you've ever felt like you've been hearing, ".....and tonight, trouble in middle east as....." for the last 40 years or so, it's not deja vu.  You were not dreaming.  And you're not imagining it.
The middle east continues to be completely unstable, unpredictable, and as far as I can tell, hopeless in terms of ever ending up in some sort of peaceful collection of democratic states.
