Heeeerrre, KittyKittyKitty!

A dog's job is to stay outside on the porch and bark at strangers.
Mikey finds immense satisfaction in his craft.
He is a bite trained German Shepherd after all.

This morning as I was posting Ray LaMontagne clips I looked up to see a snarling Mikey slowly rising to his feet and begin creeping towards the driveway.

I jumped up from behind the computer while shouting, "NEIN!!!!"

I made it to Mikey's side just in time to grab hold of his collar before he charged the poor AT & T service tech, who at that very second was back peddling up the drive while frantically reaching for his
"Bear Mace".
The man was white as a ghost and at 9:30 he was already covered in sweat and needed to a take a union break to recompose himself.

Damn I love this dog.
It's the second day that we've had AT & T here and the second day that Mikey has scared the Holy BeJezzus out of them.

Having a 100 pound, trained, German Shepherd bare his teeth and give you that low, guttural, growl while he puts the death stare on ya' and readies to pounce
"is no kinda fun and, what Mikey's got for you, that's as good as it's ever gonna get, and it ain't ever gonna get that good again."

Good Boy!

Editor's Update:

I took Mikey out for our morning walk and ran into "Dim Sum's" mother.
"Dim Sum" is the Korean lady across the street.
She seems nice enough, though I've never talked to her.
Mikey likes her mom who is extremely Korean and speaks little English.
When we turned the corner at North Highland and Virginia there was "Dim Sum's" mom with a big smile, patting her knees with both hands, shouting,
"Here kitty kitty kitty!!! Here kitty kitty kitty kitty!!!" in her special dialect.
Mikey was confused but he smiled and danced around for her just the same.

See?
He's not an indiscriminate monster.
Didn't even bother correcting her.  He just enjoyed the moment, said his hellos, and moved on.
