From San Francisco to Bodega Bay

I was moving slowly this morning so I didn't get out of The Shattuck Hotel until right at noon.
Traffic was heavy across the Bay Bridge and into the city but it was worth the wait.
The sky was deep blue and the air cool and it was great to be back on the scooter and running thru downtown.
  I exited on Fremont St./101 N and immediately took the wrong turn (several times) due to, A.) not paying attention, and B.) my GPS loading slowly, but the ride was nice anyhow.
I passed beautiful old houses and buildings and City Lights Bookstore, where Kerouac and Ginsberg used to hang out with all of the rest of the Beat Generation and eventually made my way back towards 101 North.

3 words kept rolling thru my mind as I crossed the Golden Gate Bridge on my Harley:

"You're so cool,
 You're so cool,
 You're so cool......"
















I started out on June 7th.  Today is July 22nd.
I reached the Gulf of Mexico, crossed Mobile Bay and the Mississippi.
I've riden thru mountains and deserts and thru the rain and the heat and the dark of night.
I crossed the Continental Divide and reached the Pacific Ocean on a beautiful, sunny afternoon.
I've spent time with close friends that I hadn't seen in ages, and spent time with family who, one way or another have been supporting me all of my life.  I met my brother in Berkeley and my Great Uncle in San Jose.  I spent time with my God-parents in San Antonio, saw cousin Anne and cousin-hubby Jerry in Houston, and had a fantastic weekend in Austin with cousin-brother Ron.
I've put 4,000 miles on my bike and today I drove into the city of San Francisco and back out, across the Golden Gate Bridge;  that is really f@#king cool!
