This album came out in 1991 (I think) and it's still one of my favorites.
I was listening this morning while having my coffee on the pier at Oxnard.
Buy it and love it.
Seriously.
I saw him live in Atlanta 5 or 6 times and I was always amazed at his intensity and unbelievable talent. A real, honest to God, artist on that old National guitar.
Too bad he's no longer with us but his music is worth listening to, esp. this record.
Every song is brilliant, but check out "Phone Call from Leavenworth" for some amazing slide guitar and the hook on "Poison Girl" and "Long Way Around".
