What an absolutely gorgeous day.
For those of you not fortunate enough to live in Atlanta, today was just stunningly beautiful.
It's November 3rd if I read the calendar correctly, and yet it was t-shirt and shorts weather for most of the day. Blue skies, temp. in the 80's, a little breeze, no hint of rain or God forbid snow.
I opened the doors and windows and took a perfect nap after "Ms. X" got here with lunch.
Awesome.
A little spicy jerk pork and cucumber salad from Whole Foods, a tall glass of sweet tea, and a 2 hour snooze on the couch.
Heaven.
After shaking the cobwebs from my brain, I got the bike out and took "Ms. X" for her first sailing lesson on the Harley.
Neighbor Fred strolled up just in time to capture the moment for posterity.
We had a great ride around Piedmont Park, thru the Ansley Park neighborhood, up onto Peachtree St. past The High Musuem, did a look around Piedmont Park again, going the other direction, hooked a right onto 14th St., over to West Peachtree and then a left onto 17th St., across "banana bridge" to Atlantic Station, and then over to Six Feet Under, a great seafood restaurant and bar just off of Northside Ave.
It was a perfect afternoon to sit on their second story patio and have a beer while surveying mid-town/downtown Atlanta. Neighbor Fred and "the 29" ended coming over to join us for drinks and dinner. Good times.
Try the shrimp boil at Six Feet Under, it was delicious!
