This is one of my favorites
I love Band of Horses.
My friend Emily introduced me to them a ways back and their song "The General Specific" never fails to fill the saucer of my heart with milky admiration (thanks Billy Collins).
They're a great band.
And now, they have another album out for me to dote on.

An acquaintance/college friend of mine is in Band of Horses. Ryan Monroe. He plays keyboard. He was in a band called Captain Easy and they were really good. I saw them quite often in Columbia, SC. His best friend, Josh Roberts, fronts a band called Josh Roberts and The Hinges. VERY GOOD STUFF. Southern rock with great lyrics and instrumentation. Next time they're in town I'll send a raven to your pirate ship with an official invitation.
